Palliative Care
Palliative care is a special kind of care that focuses on the quality of life for pets who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness and their care-givers. Through palliative care, we can provide compassionate care for pets in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Our palliative care program offers caring and low stress support for family pets with advanced arthritis, cancer, or other quality of life challenges. We offer care to the communities of Incline Village, Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Kings Beach, West Shore, and Truckee.
Palliative Care Pricing
Palliative Care is personalized care-our initial consultation fee is $300. During our initial consultation, we will discuss care options that may include a Quality of Life consultation, recommended medical evaluations and a home care plan. Our services range from patient evaluation to supportive education and home care visits. Please call us to discuss options for your pet.
End of Life Care
Compassionate euthanasia allows us to peacefully bring our pet's life to a close in a comfortable and respectful way. While some families prefer the extra support of a hospital environment for their animal family member, others may prefer their home environment, or to have this transition occur at a special location such as a favorite meadow.
Whether your preference is an in-hospital house-call, or destination euthanasia, we are here for you and will do all in our power to create a peaceful and low stress transition.
Scheduling
We offer flexible scheduling, typically within one or two days' notice, including weekends and holidays.

In Home Euthanasia Services (no aftercare)
Starting at $400

Includes: Private onsite consultation with our Doctor, customizing a compassionate euthanasia plan which may include anti anxiety medications as needed to ensure a comfortable and peaceful passing for your pet. This price includes a custom homemade-onsite ink nose and paw print, and fur clipping.
Your pet will remain with you for aftercare. No cremation.
In Home Euthanasia Services with Cremation
Starting at $650
*travel fees may apply
Cremation fees are based upon weight and range from $250 (our smallest companions) up to $500 (over 100#)
Includes: Private onsite consultation with our Doctor, customizing a compassionate euthanasia plan which may include anti anxiety medications as needed to ensure a comfortable and peaceful passing for your pet. You will have a choice of aftercare urns ranging from biodegradable buriable urns, ash-scattering urns, metal and wooden urns. Your pet will be transported to the cremation facility for you. This price includes a custom homemade-onsite ink nose and paw print, and fur clipping.
Additional services are available at an additional cost- including a ceramic paw print, and custom urns with engraving.
In Home Euthanasia Services with Communal Cremation
Starting at $500

Cremation fees are based upon weight and range from $100 (our smallest companions) up to $250 (over 100#)
Includes: Private onsite consultation with our Doctor, customizing a compassionate euthanasia plan which may include anti anxiety medications as needed to ensure a comfortable and peaceful passing for your pet. Your pet will be transported to the cremation facility for you, where they will be respectfully cremated alongside other pets. The cremains will be spread on a private property. You will not receive any of your pets' ashes.
This price includes a custom homemade-onsite ink nose and paw print, and fur clipping.
Additional services are available at an additional cost- including a ceramic paw print, and custom urns with engraving.
