OUR PHILOSOPHY

Dr. Montana has always known that her heart would pull her towards her love for animals, and her mind is very science oriented. She has found veterinary medicine to be that magical intersection of science and compassion, which feeds her soul while also challenging her spirit.

Practicing emergency and outpatient medicine through the years, Dr. Montana felt the need to create a space where people who love animals- and love science- could come together to offer the most current medicine blended with compassion.

By sharing the excitement of new knowledge while honoring the importance of classical therapeutics, The Agate Bay Animal Hospital is able to keep patients and their families in the center of their focus- our team is constantly asking "Is it working? Is it right for this patient?" These questions may be the most important aspect of ethical medicine, and they are key to the practice of veterinary medicine.

Since 2003, the Agate Bay Animal Hospital has been working to bring compassionate forward thinking preventative and curative medicine and surgery to North Lake Tahoe. The Agate Bay Animal Hospital hopes you will join our team in continuing to grow and serve our community!

OUR STORY

Not only does the Agate Bay Animal Hospital facility allow for gold standard medicine with a loving and empathetic team, we are also fortunate to have over an acre of space for your pet to enjoy their Lake Tahoe visit. The daycare guests are provided ample room to get the wiggles out in climate controlled indoor cabins while those checked in to the hospital have a separate, safe, and healing space to recover from whatever ails them.
